“NO!!!!  I can’t get out of bed; I need one more hour of sleep.”

“In my bed, tucked away from the world!!”

Who is your hair hero? Why?

“Vidal Sassoon, the creator of precision hair art, he started at age 14, had many setbacks, and in his 80’s now, still ROCKS the hair world and swims laps every day.  Jack and Joelle Ray owners of Samuel Cole Salon in Raleigh, their passion, drive, professionalism, and entrepreneurial skills inspire me to push myself, they taught me so much.

What is your favorite hair Era?

“Edwardian and 80’s because anything that is bigger is better. I can find something amazing about every era,

but perms/ today called texture, when done right shave a lot of time off hair styling, a must have for me.”

What puts you in a good mood?

“A day ALL to myself… no work, no shower, no people, full of junk food, and chick flicks… I call them JAMMIE days, cuddled up with my puppy, Gracie Love.”

What is your favorite food?

“My Mom’s mashed potatoes and beef noodles, anything my mom makes, but I love me some sushi, and India cuisine,

I just love food!!”

Are you a morning or night person?

“NIGHT –my prime time is 10-2am, I bite before noon!!”

What is one thing you could not live without?

“My Bible-it’s my daily guide to life. My Dad, he’s my favorite friend.  But, if you took away my apple Martinis, and my powdered lightener I’d be quite upset!!”

What is your favorite hair color? Why?

“I love Bright, White, Blondes because blondes have more fun, chocolate brown because you can never have enough chocolate in life, and red heads because everyone needs a little fiery spice in their life.”

What do you think the secret to a good life is?

“Faith in Jesus Christ, REAL friends, (like in the old days not Facebook friends) and definitely a supportive family.”

Do you sing in the shower?

“No!!  I’m just lucky to have the power to stand and get my eyes open!!”

What is your favorite past time?

“Reading, napping, time with friends and family, but I have to admit I LOVE MY JOB, and I am a bit of a workaholic and spend most of my time in the hair world in some form.”
